Beat Matching / Cue Point Feature

Jeff Jan 04, 2017 02:13AM CET

I love Pacemaker but one thing that can be very annoying is that sometimes the beat matching isn't perfect and it is off say a 1/2 beat. A few things I would love to see are:

1. Ability for more granular control of cue points in order to correct mistakes in beat matching.

2. Ability to start the song at any point. Sometimes pacemaker cuts off large parts of the beginning of songs.

3. Audio normalization/leveling. It may do this already but I haven't tested it out since I pre process all my mp3s

4. This is lower priority but I would love to see integration with Soundcloud or other services that have custom songs and DJ mixes.

Hey Raj,

We'd love to add SoundCloud support and for that matter other sources of music to Pacemaker however we have nothing to share today about new sources of music. We're constantly in discussions with other people in the music industry though so watch this space. Hello Jeff,

Thanks for the feedback. I've replied to your points below:

1 and 2: We've had a number of requests for this and we do plan on giving you more control in the future including letting you adjust the start point of the song.
3: Normalization is already a feature in Pacemaker for iPad and can be enabled/disabled in the settings menu. On iPhone we do this automatically and it can't be disabled.
4. Spotify is our first great partner for music and we do plan on working with other partners to expand the range of music you can play.

Hope this answers some of your questions!

Hey there,

I primarily use the iPhone version, and it is such a cool, flexible, intuitive and fun to use app!

The newest update also raised the bar, so I'm happy to see the app continue to improve.

I was just wondering if there was any progress on possible SoundCloud integration? Would love to see this.

Thanks!
