Pacemaker 2.3.1 has now been released by Apple and should be available to download from the AppStore. If you cannot yet see the update - please be patient. It can take a few hours before it will appear on your device.
Once installed you will need to restore your purchases by opening the Pacemaker Store and clicking "Restore Purchases".
We have a guide on how to do this here, if you need it: https://pacemaker.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/2748343-how-to-restore-purchased-effects

We'd like to apologise again for this issue and thank you for your patience.
If you need any further help, do not hesitate to email us: support@pacemaker.net or tweet us using @Pacemaker.

Hello Debbie,

Has your son got a Spotify premium account? You can double check by going to the link below:
https://www.spotify.com/account/overview/

A free Spotify account is not enough to be able able to use Pacemaker. If he has got a Spotify premium account, can you let me know which version of Pacemaker is being used? You can check this by opening the iOS settings application, scrolling down and finding Pacemaker in the list and once clicked - the version number is displayed onscreen. For Spotify to work, this needs to be 2.2.2 or higher.

Hey Debbie,

Thanks for this. Your son will need to login using your email account connected to Spotify unless of course he is also part of a Spotify family subscription.
If you need to check this information you can double check the email account used and password by logging onto the Spotify website below:
https://www.spotify.com/account/overview/

Only 1 device can listen to Spotify tracks at a time (again unless you have a family subscription). This means if you use Spotify on your phone using the same details, you won't be able to use it with Pacemaker at the same time too. Playback is paused.

In addition if you have purchased the FX package within Pacemaker, currently we have an issue where users are unable to restore this purchase and use it. We're really sorry about this. Pacemaker 2.3.1 is currently under review by Apple - this version will correctly allow you to restore previously purchased effects. We're sorry for the trouble, but it appears there was an issue with this in the Pacemaker 2.3.0 release. We're sorry for the inconvenience, this will be fixed soon. This issue won't affect you logging into Spotify though.

If you continue to have problems logging into Spotify - please let me know.

We have a family account on Spotify all that is correct and in place. He purchased a package for £9.99 on pacemaker with the effects. I presume that is the faulty software you are speaking about. So I guess it's your software and there is nothing I can do. I'm not too happy as I got spotify family for him especially to use on pacemaker so spending money on extra subscription only for him to not be able to use it!!

Hi Debbie,

So to clarify - I'm really sorry but the effects package you purchased for £9.99 cannot currently be used. There is an error with Pacemaker 2.3.0 which prevents the purchase from being recognised. We are working with Apple to get this fixed as soon as possible and our next update which we hope will be released within the next 48 hours will resolve this.

Your son though should still be able to login to Spotify though and still play Spotify tracks from Pacemaker using the family subscription. He won't be able to use the effects currently but as mentioned above our next update will resolve this issue. If I've misunderstood and he cannot play any Spotify music at all - please let me know.

We're really sorry about this issue. We've taken steps to make sure the effects issue cannot happen again.
I'll send you another email as soon as we have this update released and the issue resolved.

Hi,
Our package has restored but we are still unable to connect to Spotify. I have tried logging on as me (primary account holder) and my son who is an account holder on my family spotify account and it still won't link. Trying to be patient but still very frustrated????

Hello Debbie,

We're glad you got the effects back. We're sorry the Spotify issue remains though. We're going to invite you to download a special version of Pacemaker next week known as a Beta. This version will send additional information to us here at Pacemaker so we can better understand why you are unable to login to Spotify. You'll recieve an email early next week with instructions of how to install this version. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reply to this.

Hello Debbie,
I'm sorry. The team are still preparing our next beta release of Pacemaker and I can apprechiate the frustration. Rest assured we're working hard to get you a meaningful update to Pacemaker which will get access to Spotify working again or at least help us understand more about the issue. I'll update you again next week. I've already passed your comments onto the team.
