Spotify login failed *only on cellular network

I have been having Spotify login issues for the past several days. This only happens when I try to connect over the cellular network. It works fine when on wi-fi but stops working when I change over to cellular network.

I am located in Canada and I am on the Rogers/Fido LTE cellular network.

Please help.

Also this only happens when trying to log in to Spotify within the Pacemaker app. Otherwise Spotify works fine on both the cellular network and wi-fi

Hey Ben,
Just replied to your email to ask for some more information, if you can help us here at Pacemaker. We've had a couple of users report an issue with Rogers in the last few days, but as we're based in Sweden we can't test this ourselves as we don't have access to their cellular network. Hopefully with your help we'll be able to work out why this is happening.

Pacemaker won’t log into Spotify. It keeps saying login failed and I’ve tried logging out, turning off my phone, etc. Please help!

I’m also having the same issue as Ben with Rogers cellular network but works fine with WiFi.

Thanks for reporting this Lena and Karim. We're still looking into the issue for Rogers customers. This seems to have started in the last week or so, but we're not yet sure of the cause. For now please continue to use a WiFi network and I'll keep you updated as we learn more.

Hi Phillip, any updates on this issue? Did you receive the email sent with the info you requested? Is there anything else I can do to help troubleshoot? I am eagerly waiting to have this resolved so I can continue using Pacemaker when not connected to WiFi.

Hey Ben,

I'm afraid I don't have anything new to share on this one. Thank you so much though for the screenshots as they have proved to be really useful. We're probably going to have to reach out to Rogers/Spotify for this one I'm afraid as we're not sure why this has suddenly started being an issue. I'll keep you updated if I hear more.

I’having the same problems, I can't log in to Spotify. Any solution? Yesterday I was able to log in through wifi.

Hey Joel,
Unfortunately I have nothing more to share about this currently - but we know that logging in should work when using WiFi if you are a Rogers or T-Mobile customer.

Hello Lena,

This issue is really important to us - but we need to work with our friends at Spotify to get this fixed. We understand the cause to be related to IPv6 networks. As soon as I have an update regarding the avaliability of a fix - I'll post here.
