Pacemaker log in to Spotify Crash

I keep going round in circles with this bloody app this morning, worse than usual!

I am logged in on Spotify so no problems there - that app works perfectly. I open Pacemaker, I go to play my mix, then try to publish - I put a description in, it asks me to connect to Spotify (which, you remember I am already logged in with) and then...nothing. The app crashes. Come on guys, I have a yearly subscription but really wish I wasn't as the bobbing around between Pacemaker and Spotify is really, really bad this last couple of weeks.

Appologies. This morning we had an outage behind the scenes at Pacemaker. We're working on identifying the cause and then will make changes to prevent this occuring again.

The Spotify/pacemaker login isn’t working. It’s been an hour and it won’t connect. Seriously, the amount of bugs this app has almost defeats the purpose of using it.

Hey Duane,
Sorry to hear this. I've had a few reports of this in the last 24 hours however I haven't yet managed to reproduce this myself. Could you try opening the following link on your iPhone or iPad with Pacemaker installed:

This should then take you a website where you can login and then you should be taken to Pacemaker where hopefully you are logged in. If this doesn't work - it might be a temporary issue on Spotify's side. Do let me know how you get on.

I am logged into Spotify but pacemaker will not recognize this. It keeps taking me back to the screen that tells me I need to be logged in. What do I need to do to make it work?!

I also encountered the above problem. the annoyance stems from the new update on spotify. If the conditions in the given link are accepted, the problem is solved.pacemaker is running smoothly right now

We're sorry you may have had problems linking Pacemaker to your Spotify account.

If you have Spotify installed on your iPhone/iPad, you may find that you are redirected to Spotify's application and then nothing happens when you attempt to sign into Pacemaker.

Spotify have confirmed this is an issue with their application which can be fixed by:

1. Opening the Spotify application.
2. Click "Your Library" at the bottom.
3. Click the settings cog at the top right.
4. In the menu, select "Social".
5. Ensure "Wave navigation" is set to ENABLED.

Now return to Pacemaker and attempt to login again. A future update to Spotify will resolve this issue.

If you still have problems, please reply to this email.

I have tried all of the suggestions above to get pacemaker to work and it continuously says I am not logged into Spotify. It goes round and around saying the same thing yet my Spotify app works perfectly and I AM LOGGED IN!!! Please help

Hey Mikey,

Sorry to hear this. Can you try making sure you're connected to a WiFi network (rather than cellular) when logging in?

Also if using Pacemaker for iPhone - try:

Clicking the person at the top left, picking "Create Profile" -> sign up using an email address rather than the Spotify/Facebook options. Then once you have a Pacemaker account, click the settings cog next to the "Edit Profile" button. Finally click login to Spotify and see if things now work.
